SD 26 is pure Italian but everything here has a modern creative twist, like this Negroni we enjoyed at the SD 26 bar, New York City
Not Gin: but, Akvinta Vodka
Not Vermouth: but, Fresh Lemon Juice and Cucumber
The Amaro: Aperol
More: Garnished with Lemon and Cucumber Slices
After a wonderful wine tasting at Astor Center featuring Zonin wines and SD 26 cuisine we joined Marisa May at SD 26 for a tour of her exciting restaurant and cocktails at the bar.
There are many outstanding cocktails on the menu here but one we had to try was the SD 26 Negroni. Like everything at SD 26 it is a very creative version of a classic.
The base is the award wining Mediterranean Akvinta Vodka made of Organic Italian Wheat and Dalmatian Spring Water in Imotski, Croatia beneath the Dinaric Alps. With this is blended fresh lemon and cucumber juice and Aperol. It is served up with a pretty garnish of lemon and cucumber slices. The result is fantastic. A wonderful example of how creative a Negroni can be.
The bar at SD 26 is sexy and seductive, you can get lost in a place like this. Have a limo or nearby hotel room waiting for you.
While there we of course sipped Marisa May’s Capri Sunset of White Peach, Limoncello, Casoni Aperitivo, Prosecco . Fabulous!
Z T Ca’B + SD26 @ ICENY x ACC = WOW*
