While in Seattle I also visited Canon - Whiskey and Bitters Emporium - one of the top 50 bars in the world. Here the offer "the western hemisphere's largest spirit collection."
I was planning to order a Negroni but was intrigued by a drink called the "Hanky Panky" a hand crafted aged cocktail.
Made with Gin, Sweet Vermouth and an Amaro, Fernet Branca it was unique.

Seattle is home to many great cocktail establishments, one of the best is Rob Roy on 2nd avenue in the hip Belltown section of town.
I asked the bartender, Brady Sprouse, to mix a unique Negroni for me. After asking a few questions to determine my taste preferences he went to work. The result was fabulous.
The Gin: Ransom Old Tom Gin locally crafted
The Vermouth: Cocchi Barolo Chinato
The Amaro: Campari
More: Orange oil freshly zested
Purist will proclaim that the One Constant in a Negroni is Campari.
You can use any Vermouth or Gin you like but when it comes to the Bitter, it must be Campari.
As much as we do love Campari Negronis, we clearly do not hold this view. We like to experinment and enjoy all variations of the Negroni. But perhaps it is that these variations, these creative paths, are really other cocktails. Drinks that should have their own unique name.
And with that we can agree.
The Gin: Bombay Sapphire Gin
The Vermouth: Carpano Sweet, Antica Formula
The Amaro: Cynar
